The House Overview

House in the Wild is an owner operated boutique lifestyle lodge located on a bend in the Mara River with 10 rooms.  There is a main lounge and dining area with a beautiful swahili bar, a swimming pool with a thatch gazebo and bar.  Dining takes place either privately in a cosy setting under the stars, by a fireplace in the gazebo or dining room, or on your private verandah.  Sundowners are set up on the lawn in the evenings, or out on the plains on your drive.House in the wild  is the perfect safari destination for couples, smaller groups or families.  In the evening guests can meet around the campfire for a drink and have the chance to catch up on the days sightings.  Dining is either under the stars, in the gazebo by the pool, in the dining room by the fire, or on the verandah in the private rooms..

Each group at the House in the wild gets their own private safari vehicle and guide throughout their stay.

Why House in the Wild?

There is something magic about our WILD vibe; the safari bar, the excellent service, the different activities going on, the vast lawns, the unique style and the sense of place.  Guests can enjoy romantic candle lit dinners, or mingle with other safari adventurers. It is small enough to feel you are in your own space, but with the atmosphere that makes you feel part of a wider family.

Accommodation

House in the Wild has 6 luxury cottages, Marula and Original have two rooms each with ensuite bathrooms, River, Hippo and Olerai cottages are one bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, Warburgia is a double ensuite with a loft upstairs

Included: Full board accommodation, soft drinks, local beers, non-premium wines and spirits, laundry, airstrip transfers (Ngerende airstrip) and statutory taxes.

Activities Included: Unlimited game drives in Enonkishu, Ol Chorro and Lemek Conservancies, bush breakfast, picnics, guided nature walks and bike rides within Naretoi, Visit the Mara Training Centre, local school visits, Rhino Sanctuary visits (entrance fees extra and payable direct) tennis and sundowners.

Excluded: Champagne, premium spirits, cellar wines, all extra

activities payable direct. Any other park or access fee for conserv- ancies and the (National) Mara Reserve outside of those catered for under activities included. Extra lunch US$50 per person, hot-air balloons, Rhino Sanctuary entrance fees, visit to the Mara Elephant Project, tips and donations.
