Exclusive Holiday home in Laikipia Kenya

Ol Jogi Home

Ol Jogi Home:-Exclusive Experience

Ol Jogi home is in a private wildlife conservancy located on the Laikipia Plateau in Kenya. It offers one of the most exclusive accommodation experiences on the African continent, with a private home that has 11 bedrooms housed within eight cottages . The home was built and crafted over many decades and is a design masterpiece with a very unique style. A collection of museum-quality artworks, china, and silverware create an ambiance atypical of the more common offerings. The home is luxurious, but it is also quite comfortable and relaxing. When you stay with them, you will feel like it’s your own home, and the experience will be very different than what you would find in a commercial lodge.

Ol Jogi Ranch

The conservancy is home to roughly 7,000 large mammals including the Big 5, the world’s largest population of endangered Grevy’s zebra, and significant numbers of other endangered animals. One of the most exciting features of Ol Jogi is an underground tunnel that takes you from inside the house directly to a hide at their watering hole. Imagine being a few feet away from a herd of buffalo, or an endangered black rhino, and being close enough to see the marks on its skin and hear its breath, all while being in complete safety and enjoying your favorite drink.

Dedicated spa therapists are waiting for you and are available to offer a range of treatments and massages. Their Moroccan influenced steam room will be a great way to cap off an exciting day. The sauna, gym, table tennis, and Jacuzzi are all there to make you feel perfectly at home .

Wildlife at your Doorstep

Wildlife At Your Doorstep and Viewing Tunnel

The most valuable treasure of Ol Jogi is the amount of wildlife that resides here. Right in front of the house is a watering hole with a constant flow of wildlife. Most of our guests comment that you could probably never leave the home during your stay and you would still see all the wildlife Ol Jogi has to offer. One of the most exciting features is an underground tunnel that takes you from inside the house directly to a hide at our watering hole. Imagine being a few feet away from a herd of buffalo, or an endangered black rhino, and being close enough to see the marks on its skin and hear its breath, all while being in complete safety and enjoying your favorite drink.
Accommodation

Accommodation-Suites

Ol Jogi’s thirteen suites are set in cottages, often two per cottage, on rolling green lawns near the main house. And all are next-level luxurious, exquisitely detailed, as Ann Abel writes in Forbes, with “Murano glass globes over lamps, sumptuous Hermès linens, and perfectly polished Buccellati silver.” Each suite is individually designed, and features bespoke furniture, his and hers bathrooms, and bedrooms looking out at nearby and forever compelling Mount Kenya, the only mountain in the world to give its name to an entire country.

8 Days Ol Jogi Sample safari Itinerary

Ol Jogi gives true meaning to the word exclusive. There is no other place on the continent where you can have private access to an entire 58,000-acre conservancy. The diversity of terrain and wildlife is unparalleled. The landscape is awe-inspiring and unique within Kenya. Explore the African bush the way it was intended, wild and free, through a multitude of ways, day or night: game drives, walks, on horseback, or even by helicopter to get an aerial perspective
Day 1

Day 1: Arrive Nairobi and transfer to your private charter flight to Ol Jogi. Enjoy your first lunch and make plans for the rest of the day. After recovering from your journey, go out on a first game drive to marvel at the area’s wildlife and views. Finish the afternoon watching the sun set over Laikipa, with a gin and tonic or glass of champagne in hand before a sumptuous supper.

Day 2

Day 2: A first full day of safari starts with an early-morning game drive followed by a hearty breakfast. Today you might also want to visit the Wildlife Rescue Center or walk with baboons. Upon your return, enjoy a swim in the pool, explore the well-stocked library, or visit the secret underground viewing room to watch wildlife drink at the watering hole as evening falls.

Day 3

Day 3: Today, take a helicopter journey to Mt Kenya – famous for its rugged peaks, glacial alleys, and forested slopes. Take off at dawn and fly around the snowy peaks of Batian and Nelion. Land on the shore of one of the many tarns and rivers that flow down the mountain for a picnic breakfast surrounded by unique mountain flora and species typical of this afro-alpine zone. If you’d like to cast a line, stop at Lake Michelson, almost inaccessible by foot, and do a bit of fishing. The rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the many activities on the property.

Day 4

Day 4: After an early morning game drive, plan a day of community visits to Ol Jogi Primary School and the Twala Women’s Cultural Village and Resource Centre. This evening, relax under the stars with a roaring bonfire.

Day 5

Day 5: A day at leisure to partake of the conservancy’s activities. Enjoy more game drives, horseback or camel riding, or private yoga instruction.

Day 6

Day 6: Enjoy another helicopter excursion, this time to Samburu – a diverse and beautiful wilderness famed for its rich wildlife, savannah landscape, and culture, stretching from Laikipia and the Ewaso Nyiro River to the southern end of Lake Turkana. This is home to Samburu and Rendille nomadic people living traditional lives.

Day 7

Day 7: A final day to enjoy as you please, before returning to civilization tomorrow. Tonight’s dinner will be one to remember!

Day 8

Day 8: Sadly, it is time to return home, though you may have redefined what that means after your week at Ol Jogi. Your private charter will swoop over scenic landscapes for you to connect with your onward travels
