great location is key for the most amazing memories and experiences when going on a safari, and the Mara Bush camps Portfolio camps are perfectly placed right in the Heart of the Maasai Mara.The Mara Bush Camp Portfolio boasts one of the best and most spectacular locations in the famous Maasai Mara Game Reserve. It is located on the banks of the seasonal Olare Orok River, overlooking a large hippo pool with over 40 hippos at any given time. It is only a 05 minutes drive from Ol Kiombo Airstrip. River crossings during the July to October Migration period are only a short drive away from the camp.The Camps rooms are a mixture of luxury walk-in tents, high-end, eco-conscious tented rooms , all within an intimate and natural setting. Being close to and connecting with nature is how a safari should be experienced, and we strive to give you that same experience at the Mara Bush Camp Portfolio. Experience the camps extra-special and unique hippo pool platform within the lodge overlooking over 50 hippos that are active in the river below. Revel in your day’s adventure at our special fire place to exchange game drive stories overlooking the river. Exchange experiences and knowledge in our unique photographic lounges after your return from your day’s experience.

Luxury Eco-Conscious Tented Camp

QUIET COMFORT SURROUNDED BY NATURE

Mara Bush Camp is one of three of our camp sites, and features 12 luxury, eco-conscious guest tents that are spacious, and tastefully decorated with hand-made furniture. All tents uniquely face and overlook the river which inhabits a large number of Hippos. The tents are completely immersed in the tree foliage, and are surrounded in nature with natural vegetation and grass fences around them for extra privacy.

Stay at Bush Wing

Mara Bush Camp “Bush Wing” is the more budget friendly part of Mara Bush Camp. With only 5, slightly smaller, more simply furnished tents, the Bush Wing is for guests who want to enjoy the fantastic location and all facilities of Mara Bush Camp but spend a little less. The tents are much closer to each other and offer less privacy. Four tents are river facing and one tent is located within croton bushes and under the shade of trees. The tents have the following set up: One Twin tent with 02 single beds | Three Triple tents with 01 King size Double and 01 single bed | One Single tent with 01 single bed

The Private Wing offers the desired exclusivity for guests who are looking for maximum privacy, with 08 tents overlooking the river and 04 tents facing the forest! All 12 luxury tents (2 are family tents) are designed with great attention to detail. The tents are large and spacious with mahogany furniture and luxurious soft furnishings that give it the desired comfort of a luxury camp with a “bush feeling”. All tents are equipped with en-suite bathrooms, mini-fridge and a fan. There is a lot of distance between each tent, ensuring maximum privacy and giving you the feeling of being able to enjoy your own African nature experience. The tents are very generous in size and offer an incredible ambience of warmth and comfort in the wild. Your bedroom is furnished with a double (king size) and single bed, a writing desk and chair, wardrobe & chest. All bathrooms are partitioned through soft furnishings and offer a vanity unit & double sinks, hot / cold running water & shower as well as flush toilet. All 12 Guest Tents are designed with great attention to detail.

The Luxury Migration Camp offers you everything desired in an “authentic safari experience”! Discreetly ‘tucked away’ in a riverine forest on the banks of the seasonal Olare Orok River with an excellent location close to Ol kiombo airstrip, it is situated in heart of the Maasai Mara game reserve. Luxury Migration Camp is set up of 08 triple river-facing tents and 02 family river-facing tents. All 10 luxury tents (2 are family tents) are designed with great attention to detail. The tents are spacious, raised on stilts and located away from each other, ensuring complete privacy. Each luxury tent is furnished with a comfortable 4-poster bed, mosquito net, en-suite bathrooms and hot and cold water permanent showers, clothes rack, storage chest, writing desk and private verandah. The family tent comprises of 02 en-suite rooms with a common lounge area where the family can relax. There is a lot of distance between each tent, ensuring maximum privacy and giving you the feeling of being able to enjoy your own African nature experience. The tents are very generous in size and offer an incredible ambience of warmth and comfort in the wild. Your bedroom is furnished with a double (king size) and single bed, a writing desk and chair, wardrobe & chest.
