Overview & Location
Loldia House is an original Kenyan home set on an old farm on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Here guests can enjoy a gentle pace of life; relax by the pool, take in the views, head off on a game drive or indulge in a variety of treatments from the house poolside spa room.
Loldia House is only a two hour drive from Nairobi and is within easy reach of Nairobi’s International Airport. It is also conveniently located for day trips to the famous Lake Nakuru National Park. There are daily flights on Governors’ Aviation direct from Nairobi to Loldia House and then on to the Masai Mara, making it the perfect place from which to begin or end your exciting safari holiday around Kenya.
Loldia House Accommodation
Beautiful country-style rooms with en-suite bathrooms in both the main house, garden cottages and top cottage.
Loldia House offers a choice of accommodation either in the old family house or in cottages in the grounds. In the main house, there is one en-suite double room. Close by are three other guest cottages (each housing two separate rooms, all en-suite), surrounded by pretty gardens and offering incredible views across the lake to the extinct volcano, Mount Longonot. Up on the hill is the specially built Top Cottage, which has three double bedrooms and its own sitting room with an open log fire, making it ideal for families or close friends travelling together. The vista from up here is stupendous!
Meals & Drinks
Breakfast is a continental and full English, lunch is a set menu with fresh salads, served under the ancient fig tree, overlooking the lake. Dinner is served in the main dining room. We cater for special diets on request.
Guests going out on a full day excursion are provided with a picnic breakfast/lunch. Drinks can be packed and added to your room bill.
The nightly rate includes all soft drinks, beers, house wines and ‘non-premium’ spirits. Champagnes, selected fine wines, premium spirits and liqueurs will be charged as extras. For Groups and Incentives, we reserve the right to charge drinks on consumption or to levy a drinks supplement.
Facilities
- Dining room, sitting room and comfortable verandah with views over Lake Naivasha and Mount Longonot. Gift shop in main house and infinity swimming pool set on an outcrop between two age old fig trees with stunning views across the lake.
- Spa: We have a lovely pool-side spa room offering a range of treatments to include facials, massages, body scrubs, manicures and pedicures.
- Toiletries; we provide a natural range of ‘Cinnabar Green’ toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap and body lotion) in the rooms. These products are refilled into reusable metal canisters so as to reduce on plastic waste. They are also handmade in Kenya with natural ingredients and are therefore in keeping with the sensitive environment in which we operate. We urge you to please use our products rather than your own. These toiletries are supplied for the duration of your stay with us, and if you would like to buy some to take onwards with you, we sell the full range in the gift shop.
- 220/240 UK Volt plugs in the rooms for charging cameras and phones. Wifi is available in the main areas.

Loldia House: Rates include:
full board accommodation, 3 meals per person per night booked, purified water, & laundry, together with applicable VAT thereon, and transportation of tourists. Transport ation of tourists will be in our custom built 4WD vehicles to Lake Nakuru National Park and / or Hells Gate National Park, to local flower farms, to the local school, bird-watching, to Crescent Island, or exploring the ranch by vehicle. The amounts invoiced for transportation of tourists are shown separately on each client invoice and the charge for each service is clearly stated on the invoice.
Rates exclude:-drinks and personal expenses, Loldia Conservation Fees and Lake Nakuru / Hells Gate Park Fees, Crescent Island entry fees
