Where the romance of canvas combines with dramatic guest areas, Angama Mara’s distinctive design breaks away from a traditional safari lodge style. Perched right on the edge of the escarpment, each of Angama Mara’s spacious 100 sqm Tented Suites has floor-to-ceiling glass spanning all along the front to make the most of the dramatic views. The interiors are uncluttered, classic and above all, comfortable with splashes of Maasai Red, French Khaki, copper and brass.

Accommodation-Luxury Tented Suites

Angama Mara’s elegant tented suites have been designed to make the most of the extraordinary views of the Maasai Mara from every angle – from the bed, the bath, the sitting area, the shower and even the w/c. With the front of the tents featuring floor-to-ceiling glass, the roof and other three sides are canvas – classic safari olive on the outside and cream on the inside for romance. Spanning over 100 sqm, the tented suites all include spacious decks for in-room dining, massage treatments and red rocking chair safaris.

This unique camp captures the romance and adventure of the glorious Golden Age of safaris, yet with a lightness of spirit that will both surprise and delight guests. The exclusive camp site is surrounded by abundant resident wildlife – prides of lion, cheetah, leopard, large elephant herds, buffalo and abundant plains game. With your days spent exploring the landscape and abundant resident wildlife, and your nights spent under the stars, you will fall asleep listening to the nocturnal silence of the wilderness punctuated by the sounds of lions and hyena calling.

A day at Angama Mara

From Sunrise To Sunset-

Sunrise:A gentle early morning wake up to a cappuccino and freshly baked Maasai honey biscuits placed discreetly by your butler in the lobby of your tent
Morning:Descend down Angama Mara’s private road into the heart of the action. As the sun breaks the horizon, you will be surrounded by more animals than you could imagine
Midday:Enjoy a picnic somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the vast grasslands of the Mara Triangle, perhaps under a lone desert date tree with only elephants as company
Afternoon:Wander through the Shamba (kitchen garden) picking and tasting the leaves and fruits along the way. Relax with some chilled rosé wine under the giant moth trees
